Tenants pay rent from a Rent Wallet, which is their own account with PiggyVest.
- Your tenant opens your invite, signs in and sets up their Rent Wallet with their BVN.
- They add money to the wallet by bank transfer, in one go or bit by bit.
- When a bill is due, they select Pay. The rent goes to the account you chose in setup.
Money doesn't leave the wallet until your tenant pays a bill. Bills are paid in full, and there's no fee for your tenant or for you.
New bills appear in your tenant's portal ahead of time: 45 days before the due date for monthly rent, and 90 days before for yearly rent.
On your Rent collection page, each bill shows one of these statuses:

| Paid | Paid through Roofteller |
| Paid externally | Marked as paid outside Roofteller |
