How do I open an account?

Once you're verified, you can open as many accounts as you need. For example, you might open one per property, or a separate one for security deposits. Entity page: four property accounts and the Add account tile 1. Go to Accounts and select the person or business the account is for. Then select Add account. 2. Choose an Account type: - Operating for everyday money in and out. - Interest to earn interest on the balance. Your rate is shown next to it. 3. Give the account a name of at least 3 characters, such as "Yaba rent" or "Security deposits". 4. Optionally, choose a property under Link to a property. Transactions in a linked account are tagged to that property automatically. 5. Select Add account. Your new account's number can take a short while to appear. See Where do I find my account number? Where do I find my account number?

Every account has its own account number. Share it with anyone who pays you, or use it to add money from any bank. On the web 1. Select Add on the Accounts page. 2. Choose the account under Account to fund. You'll see its account name, account number and bank. 3. Select Copy all details to copy all three at once. You can also select an account to see its details, the date it was opened and its interest rate. On the mobile app, open the account and tap Add money, then tap Share details to send them by message. If you see "This account's details are still being set up. Check back shortly.", the account is still being created. Check back in a few minutes. Receiving money is free. How do I send money?

There are two ways to move money: - Send pays any Nigerian bank account. It needs your Transaction PIN. - Move moves money between your own Roofteller accounts. It's free and doesn't need a PIN. To send money 1. Select Send on the Accounts page. 2. Choose the account to send from. 3. Under To, choose a saved recipient or New recipient. For a new recipient, choose their bank and enter their account number. We'll check the account name for you. Turn on Save as recipient to reuse it next time. 4. Enter the amount and choose the Property this payment is for. Adding a Category and Narration is optional. 5. Select Review transfer. Check the details, the fee and any stamp duty, then select Confirm & send. 6. Enter your 4-digit Transaction PIN and select Authorise. You can follow the transfer in the account's activity. If you haven't set a Transaction PIN yet, we'll ask you to create one first. On the mobile app, the steps are the same. If you've turned on Face ID or fingerprint, you can use it instead of your PIN. Who can send money? Only the portfolio owner and business partners. Property managers and bookkeepers can't.
